Former executive chairman of Ibadan Southeast LGA, Hon. Lekan Afuye has declared that he can’t be working for the aspiration of Bola Tinubu as next Nigeria’s president and neglect Teslim Folarin, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 election in Oyo State.
Afuye, in a exclusive chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM, said he is in support of what majority of his former colleagues are doing as far as the governorship ambition of Folarin is concerned, adding that he would join them immediately he arrives the country.
Saying that he is a leader in the APC, the real estate investor explained that ”I am with Sen. Teslim Folarin 100 per cent and there is no doubt about that. I am in the mainstream of the APC as Oyo State is concerned. I will do whatever I can do to support my party and its candidates to win the next election.
I am currently the national deputy director general for one Asiwaju support group— All People’s Coalition for Asiwaju Tinubu and Shettima (APCATS).
I can’t have my cake and eat it at the same time, I cannot be working for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and be against Sen. Teslim Folarin. It is either I am in or out,” he added, noting that APC will form the next government in Oyo and Nigeria.
