A traditional ruler from Oke-Ogun zone of Oyo State, the Elero of Ilero – His Highness Oba AbdulWasiu Oyedele Olokolonigi II, has lauded the effort of the State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde on security while assuring the people of Ilero and its environ of adequate security of life and properties in this yuletide season.
The monarch stated this while speaking with Oke Ogun news crew shortly after he featured on a live programme of Oke Ogun Radio Alaga tagged Oro Eto Abo.
According to him, Engr. Seyi Makinde has beefed up security across the nooks and crannies of the state.
In complementing governor’s effort, Oba Oyedele said he has held security meetings with security officials and other stakeholders in the town to address security challenges in the town.
He said although the town has not recorded any major insecurity but the state of insecurity in the country such as kidnapping,banditry, farmers-helders clashes,there is need to support the security agencies.
Oba Oyedele applauded the efforts of the DPO Ilero Division – Mr. Kayode Samuel in providing effective security architecture in the town.
Oba Oloyede while calling on government and investors to explore natural resources are abound in his domain task the governor to fix deplorable roads in the town and its environs. According to him, Ilero town is richly endowed with several mineral resources and vast arable land for farming.
When asked about the unity in Oke-ogun, Oba Oloyede eulogized Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, for his fatherly role in ensuring that paramount rulers in the zone are united and pursue common developmental goals.
Oba Oyedele also thanked the people of Ilero particularly youths coperation and Alhaji Abu Adejare Gbadamosi and Pa Adesina Okunade for their leadership attributes and support.
