Saturday, March 16th, residents of the four local government areas of Oyo town as well as neighboring communities would get food items as well as cash gift.
These, according to the initiators of the foundation, Engr. Idris and Hajia Halimah Adeoye, is to cushion the effect of the hardship that has plagued the country.
Scheduled to start at 8 a.m at the Oyo London GRA country home of the couple, various food items would be given to beneficiaries without no religious and political considerations. One of the reasons for organising the food distribution is to support people for the Ramadan.
“We are pleased to announce that we will be sharing food items as well as cash to the aged, women and the needy tomorrow. We have been doing it before. This year, we will share it to everyone. Hunger doesn’t know tribe, party and religion. Everyone who comes would be taken care of. It is our own little way of putting smiles on people’s faces.
“We hope to do more as we go further. We enjoin everyone to come,” a statement by the foundation stated.
