The Chairman Senate Committee on Local Content and senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial district, Oloye Teslim Folarin has been conferred with Award of Excellence by Association of Professional Drummers of Nigeria (APDON) on Thursday.
Also, former Oyo State Commissioner for Environment, Barrister Lowo Obisesan, was conferred with a Merit Award at glamorous official inauguration of the national executives of the association, held at Top One Garden Ibadan.
Speaking at the event, the National President of APDON, Alhaji Ayankojo, explained that Senator Folarin was carefully chosen based on his antecedents and achievements as people’s representative in the red chamber. Ayankojo further lauded Barr. Lowo Obisesan for his immense contributions to the growth and development APDON. He described the legal luminary as a worthy Ambassador of the association.
Senator Teslim Folarin was ably represented by the trio of Barrister Lowo Obisesan (Aare Ago Olubadan), Chief Adeboyega Adegoke (Ajia Balogun Olubadan) and Alhaji Hakeem Ajimobi.
Over 3000 professional drummers including their leaderships from Oyo, Osun, Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun States stormed Ibadan for the epoch-making event. Also present were Alhaji Musiliu Ishola Haruna, Alhaji Taye Currency, Special Adviser to Governor Kayode Fayemi on Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre; Alhaji Fatai Oodua (Lalude) and top-class musicians.
