The Media Office of The Honourable Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, wishes to clear the air on the news of the Speaker’s involvement in a car crash on Sunday, 24th September, 2023. We assure members of the public that Mr. Speaker, and members of his entourage, are hale, hearty and in good spirits.
Mr. Speaker’s backup vehicle, conveying some of his Security Aides, had a mechanical problem that resulted in the crash of the vehicle on Sunday and although the Speaker was not involved in the crash, the aides who were involved are also hale and hearty, having undergone thorough medical checks.
Mr. Speaker thanks concerned individuals who reached out to him and assures that he, alongside all of his aides, are safe and have since resumed work. Rt. Hon. Adewale remains committed to the meritorious discharge of his duties as Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and assures that he will continue to steer the 8th Assembly in the direction of landmark achievements that will make it a positive reference point in the history of our dear State.
