The Ooni of Ife Palace has reacted to divorce announcement by Queen Naomi Silekunola, saying it is not aware of the decision of the ex-wife of the Yoruba monarch, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
According to the spokesperson of the Ooni of Ife, Comrade Moses Olafare, “The palace is not aware of the decision of Olori. Kabiyesi has not briefed me on the matter but I will get back to you soon.”
Queen Silekunola had earlier on Thursday announced her separation with Oba Ogunwusi, saying she should no longer be addressed as Queen of Ile-Ife.
