The All Progressives Congress APC Chairman of Oyo West local Government, Alhaji Muritala Hammed (Olomi) has been reportedly suspended by aggrieved party leaders over misappropriation of Senator Teslim Folarin’s empowerment materials.
According to some sources who were in attendance at the meeting that orchestrated the purported suspension of Muri Olomi, ward chairmen and youth leaders from 7 of 10 electoral wards of the council area accused Alhaji Muri Olomi of allocating 62 empowerment items allocated by the Oyo Central senator to himself and his cronies.
“Alhaji Muri Olomi was unanimously suspended by seven ward chairmen today, Thursday 21st January 2020 and was replaced by his Vice Chairman – Mr Awolola” a source said.
Efforts to reach Alhaji Muri Olomi on phone proved abortive.
