The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Southwest Branch, on Saturday elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the institute for the next two years.
The election which took place on Saturday 27th March, 2021 at CEC Conference Room of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, produced Prof. Adebambo Somuyiwa as Branch Chairman; Dr. Duro Ogunsesan as Branch Vice-chairman; and Mr. Akanmu Ademola as General Secretary.
Others include Mrs. Gegeleso Omolola as Treasurer, Mr. Adeyanju Waliu as Financial Secretary, Engr. Babatunde Olasunkami as Welfare Officer, Mrs. Kemi Ogbonna as Public Relation Officer as well as Mr. ‘Femi Salisu as Assistant General Secretary.
The Chairman of the Election Committee included Tpl. ‘Labi Agboola and Mr. Folarin Ayodele.
Prof. Adesoji Adesanya who represented the National Executive initially dissolved the outgoing executive, and later inaugurated the newly elected executive members, while Major ROA Salawu administered the oath of office for the newly elected executives and charged them to improve the fortunes of the Institute for the betterment of the society.
