Folarin Condoles With Soun, League of Imams, Muslim Ummah Over Death of Chief Imam of Ogbomoso

Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central) has sent condolence message to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III; the Oyo State League of Imams and Alfas, and the Muslim Ummah over the the demise of the Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Dr. Ashafa Abdulyekini Sanusi.

The Chairman of Nigerian Senate Committee on Local Content, in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity – Com. YSO Olaniyi, described Ashafa’s death as a great loss to Ogbomosoland, noting that the late Chief Imam spent his years praying and teaching values and precepts of Holy Quran and Hadiths.

“Baba Imam was a humble, gentle and serious Islamic teacher whose tutelage extended beyond Ogbomosoland. He lived a worthy and highly commendable life that will be remembered by posterity”.

Folarin noted that the late chief imam would be sorely missed and remembered for his bold and courageous sermons which stood him out.

The three-term Senator, while commiserating with the families of the late chief imam, urged them to take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and contributed immensely to the peaceful coexistence in Ogbomoso and Oyo State until his demise.

Folarin prayed to Almighty Allah to overlook the shortcomings of late Chief Imam and Grant him Al-Jannah Fridaus.
