Political heavyweights in Oyo State across political parties set aside their differences to attend 9th year Remembrance prayers for late former governor of the state, Alhaji Onaolapo Lamidi Adesina on Friday.
Former governors Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala; former deputy governor to late Lam Adesina, Barr. Iyiola Oladokun; Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central), Chief Niyi Akintola SAN, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Akinremi Musiliu; former commissioners Yunus Akintunde, Lowo Obisesan and Bimbo Adekanmbi; Chief Bayo Adelabu, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, Chief Akinade Fijabi, Hon. Mojeed Olaoya, Hon. Yinka Taiwo and Alhaji Akeem Olatunji Akogun graced the occasion.
Also in attendance included former majority leader of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kehinde Subair; former chief whip of OYSHA, Rt. Hon. Adigun Hammed Murphy; Hon. Akin Ali, Hon. D.A Lawal, Alhaji Mufutau Adisa Gbayawu, Hon. Bosun Oladele, Alhaji Laide Abass, Alhaji Yinka Folarin, Alhaji Wahid Olawale, Hon. Olamiju Alao-Akala, Alhaji M.K.O Laoye among others.
The special dua, which was conducted by notable Islamic scholars in Ibadan led by Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Alhaji Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere held at Felele residence of the late former governor.
