Naija Today Editor, Khalid Imran Emerges NUJ Secretary

Editor-in-Chief, naijatodaynew.com, Comrade Khalid Imran has emerged, Secretary, Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), OkeOgun Federated Chapel, Oyo State with 14 votes.

Imran’s unopposed emergence was affirmed at the Union’s election supervised by Alhaji Ismail Ademola Babalola and Comrade Sola Oladapo, Chairman and Secretary, NUJ, Oyo State Council at The Greenland Motel & Lounge, Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State.

Earlier, Chairman, Credentials Screening Committee, Comrade Tajudeen Adeniji asked the 17 eligible participants for the civic exercise to comport orderly for the accreditation before election.

The exercise which was adjudged free and fair had Comrade Ismail Ogundeji as Chairman with 13 votes, his opponent, Comrade Olatunde Olabode scored 1 vote, while Comrade Tolulope Fatunwase emerged Auditor with 14 votes respectively.

While inaugurating the new executives, Babalola charged them all to run governance of inclusiveness that would truly call for unity, oneness and togetherness.

The programme was well attended by NUJ Executives, outgoing NUJ, OkeOgun Federated Chapel’s executives led by Prince Semiu Azeez, Comrade(Prince) Segun Adeyemo on behalf Hon. Mufutau Abilawon, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola, Chairman Iseyin South Local Council Development Area(LCDA) and other well wishers from near and distance.
