JUST IN: Nigeria Police Facilitates Face-to-face Meeting Between Soun of Ogbomoso and Chief Imam
The Oyo State Police Command headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan has facilitated a face to face meeting of Soun of Ogbomoso land, Oba Olaoye Ghandi and Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland Imam Yunusa Teliat yesterday.
The two parties bore their minds and the meeting was quite revealing and the outcome fruitful. Oba Ghandi had started taking the Imam as a son when some aggrieved Muslim leaders started poisoning the Kabiyesi’s mind against imam.
Many fake news and hate speeches were flying around to cause disaffectiom and acrimonious relationships between the Monarch and the Imam. Many things were known for the first time by the duo of monarch and the Imam yesterday be that were shockingly untrue. At last the two parties are ready to embrace peace. It’s quite disturbing to know that Muslims, particularly prominent Muslims and scholars were the one interested in the removal of Imam and not the Oba Ghandi himself. Honestly, if you listened to the Kabiyesi, he wasn’t interested in removing Imam.
It was agreed upon yesterday at the meeting that the king oba Ghandi will meet the aggrieved Muslim leaders in a bid to prevail upon them to embrace peace.
