As a way out of the logjam, former Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan moved a motion that Oke-Ogun Zone 1 APC leaders should be given time till tomorrow (Friday) to decide who to be Oke’s replacement among Hon.Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu (Itesiwaju LGA), Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi (Kajola LGA), Engr. Yekeen Abolade (Iseyin LGA) and Hon. Dele Akinleye (Itesiwaju LGA).
A former deputy governor who pleaded anonymity said, “I can confirm to you that the meeting ended in fiasco after Mrs. Ogunesan moved the motion that APC leaders in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency should be allowed to produce consensus candidate. If the leaders fail to produce a consensus, delegates will vote to elect next state executives of the party”.
