Yunus Akintunde, senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo central, has described the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the party as a victory for democracy.
The Oyo-born politician, who was commissioner under the administration of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, said in a congratulatory message to Tinubu on Thursday, that the emergence of the ex-Lagos governor is a victory not just for the party but also for Nigerians.
Asiwaju, I must note that the celebrations of the streets in various corners of the country is an indication that your emergence as the Presidential candidate of our great party represents the desire of the people.Since you have have dedicated the last two decades of your life to serving the masses, this does not come as a surprise to anyone,” he wrote.
He noted that with Tinubu’s emergence at the primaries, there is no doubt that the APC will win the 2023 general elections comfortably.
