For Teslim Folarin, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo 2023, the installation of Dr. Isiaka Kolawole, southwest representative and deputy executive (services) at the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, as Mogaji of Ogba’aga today couldn’t have come at a better time.
The three-term senator representing Oyo central senatorial district in a personally signed statement said he welcome Kolawole into the Ibadan chieftaincy line.
Eulogizing the latest compound head in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Folarin, who is the Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland, said every Ibadan sons and daughter would be proud of the installation of Kolawole as Mogaji.
“It’s never too late to become Mogaji in ibadan. Apart from rising from the bottom to the top, it is about one’s contribution to Ibadan. Yes, Dr. Kolawole has been doing it before now, he would double his efforts now that he has been lured into the system.
“In fact, Ibadan is proud to have someone like Dr. Kolawole in the system. It should have been before now but still, that is the beautiful of our chieftaincy system and it has been applauded far and wide.
“While I want to thank him for everything he did, together with others, to ensure peace reigns in our party in Oyo State, I join other progressive-minded individuals to congratulate him on his installation as Mogaji. I welcome him on board. He has my utmost assurances.”
