The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan has dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The deputy governor’s defection may be seen as a huge political blow against PDP which is the ruling party in Oyo State.
Olaniyan made this known on Sunday during a press conference in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
He added he remains the Deputy Governor of the state adding his defection doesn’t affect the relationship between him and Governor Seyi Makinde.
