The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa local government areas of Oyo State, on Tuesday, held its general meetings.
The enlarged meetings, which were separately held in Ajaawa and Iresaadu, had in attendance Senator Teslim Folarin representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi Bunvic representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal Constituency; Hon. Oyeleke representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa State Constituency; elected chairmen of both council areas; party chieftains and hundreds of party members.
Also in attendance were representatives of former Governor Alao-Akala, Senator Ayo Adeseun and Hon. Wunmi Ogundiran Master.
Senator Teslim Folarin while appreciating crowd of party members for their steadfastness, charged them to mobilise for the forthcoming APC Revalidation and Membership registration exercise. The three-term federal lawmaker restated his commitment to qualitative representation and provision of dividends of democracy in the eleven local government areas of Oyo Central Senatorial district.
Folarin charged all APC gladiators in Oyo State to close ranks with a view to repositioning the progressive family in Oyo State
In his address, the chief host -Hon. Hon Odebunmi Segun Dokun listed his achievements, which included sponsoring of masses-oriented bills and motions, construction of blocks of Classrooms, provision of ICT centres, employment opportunities, empowerment trainings for women and youths, sinking of boreholes, rural electrification, facilitation of Ogo-Ilu 89.3FM and among others.
He lauded Senator Teslim Folarin for his qualitative representation and facilitation of various projects across Oyo Central Senatorial District.
The high point of the meetings was when the duo of Folarin and Odebunmi received decampees from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and Action Alliance (AA). The federal lawmakers told the new members that the APC leaders in the federal constituency would ensure proper integration into the progressive family.
