The Oyo Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Yunus Akintunde has floored his kinsman, Engr. Nurudeen Faozey of Accord Party in his polling unit.
Akintunde (APC) scored 109 votes while his kinsman, Engr. Faozey (Accord) scored 77 votes in his Polling unit 007, Onilada Ward 10, Oyo West LGA. The ruling party’s candidate, Chief Bisi Ilaka scored 30 votes.
In the house of representatives elections, Rt. Hon. Akeem Adeyemi (APC) scored 113 votes, Rt. Hon. Kamil Akinlabi (PDP) scored 38 votes, Barr. Wakil Oyeleru (Accord) scored 67 votes.
Meanwhile, APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu polled 158 votes to defeat his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of PDP (25 votes).
Chief Bisi Ilaka of PDP loss his polling unit 003 Ward 5 Apinni, Oyo East LGA to his arch rival, Dr. Yunus Akintunde of APC. Akintunde polled 99 votes, Ilaka polled 58 votes and Faozey polled 27 votes.
