The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Oyo Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Yunus Abiodun Akintunde as winner of February 25th elections.
Dr. Akintunde won with 108,776 votes to defeat his kinsman, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 101,213 votes.
Oyo APC has won two senatorial seats so far.
