Governor Seyi Makinde’s political appointee, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi also known as Auxiliary, on Tuesday, led hoodlums to disrupt the ongoing membership registration and revalidation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan Northeast Local Government Area of Oyo State.
According to an eyewitness report, Mr. Auxiliary and his gang invaded Aliwo area in the early hours of Tuesday to disrupt the party exercise at Ward 12, Polling Units 5 and 6 of the council area. “Auxiliary and his gang did not only disrupt the process but also cart away with APC registration materials” a source said.
After sporadic gunshots to disperse APC members who were gathered to register and revalidate their membership, Mr. Auxiliary launched an attack on Alhaji Amidu Were’s business office situated in Aliwo.
Reasons for disruption of the APC registration/revalidation and subsequent attack on Alhaji Amidu’s office are not known as at the time of filing this report. However, Alhaji Were, in a 3.26sec video obtained by the News Carrier NG, appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to tame the former Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System.
