In one of the early speeches of Governor Seyi Mankinde, he promised to prevent those he called “charlatans” from ruling Oyo state again.
Whatever he meant by that and whoever he was referring to, only him could explain.
Recall then that former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala admonished Gov Makinde to stop referring to his predecessors as charlatans but it seemed the citizens were too much in love with the new poster boy to take any notice of AKALA’S admonition.
The question is, what does charlatans do in government that we did not experience in Ibarapa East on Saturday 22nd May, 2021?
None of those Gov Seyi Makinde referred to as charlatans presided over a local government election that was drenched in blood as the one witnessed last Saturday.
The most uncharitable aspect of all this is the fact that despite the bloodshed, GSM continues to celebrate and dance on as if nothing happened!
We have innumerate him with messages, photos and videos of the killing field in Eruwa.
He read all the messages. Watched all videos. No word. And the bragging and celebrations go on.
