Prominent Nigerians, organisations, religious leaders, community leaders, political class, students and other sympathisers continue to throng Ibadan and Abuja residences of Senator Teslim Folarin to commiserate with him over the demise of his wife, Barrister Angela Nwaka Folarin.
The Thames Valley University-trained lawyer breathed her last on Friday, 28th January 2022 in her London home at the age of 47.

Though Alao-Akala families are still mourning the death of former governor of Oyo State, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala on Monday led a super delegation of Akala political dynasty to the Oluyole residence of the former senate leader to pay their condolences.
The Alao-Akala junior in his condolence message said, “sad and shocking to hear hear of the demise of a very vibrant, energetic, intelligent, full of life mother, wife, sister and friend. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace”.
Other members of the delegation included Mrs Olamide Alao-Akala, Mrs Wande Eyinoye, Alhaji Raheem Agunyanmole, APC Chairman-elect for Ogbomoso North LGA; Hon. Tunde Oloyede, APC Oyo North Senatorial Chairman-elect; Hon. Wale Adeleke, former executive Chaiman of Ogbomoso South LGA; Hon. Adeyemo Obadoba, former council chairman, Ogbomoso South LCDA; Hon. Kamorudeen Koro, Hon. Adeyemo Joel, Secretary APC Ogo-Oluwa LGA; Hon. Maria Adeniyi, APC Women Leader Ogbomoso North; Hon. Gabriel Awujoola, Personal Assistant to late former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala – Prince Wasiu Olukan and others.
Notable elders of APC in Oke-Ogun Zone who also paid their condolence visit to the Folarin House in Ibadan included Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Alhaji Tijani Major Balogun, Alh (Dr) Hamid Ayinla, Alhaji Bolaji Kareem, Hon. Thomas Olayode, Chief Goke Oyetunji, Alhaji Lekan Kazeem, Alhaji O. Y Sanusi, Alhaji Dauda Alaraje and Hon. Wasiu Olubodun.
The APC elders described Angela’s death as a rude shock indeed. “The leaders and members of APC in Oke-Ogun commiserate with Senator Teslim Folarin over the sudden departure of your wife, Barrister Angela Nwaka Folarin. We mourn with with heavy hearts. Good night” said the leaders.
Also on the condolence visits on Monday were former minister Wole Oyelese, Chief Kunle Sanda, former Oyo NURTW boss, Alhaji Akinsola Tokyo; former environment commissioner under Governor Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State Government – Dr. Idowu Oyeleke; and former Ajimobi’s commissioner and serving federal commissioner Hon. Bimbo Kolade.
The grand chief imam of Ibadanland, Sheik AbdulGaniyy Agbotomokekere was represented by Council of Chief Imam of Ibadanland led by Sheik Abdul-Baari Adetunji, Sheik Nurudeen Basunu, Sheik Ismail Olaide, Sheik Muhammad Moruf Ayetoro and other Imams. The Muslim clerics offered special prayers for the departed soul and Senator Folarin. Alhaja Kafilat Kaola led other Muslim women to pay their condolences.
Retired Major General Ambassador Asimiyu Olaniyi, Alhaji Tajudeen Abass Alesh, Hon. Remi Adeniyi, Rescue Corps and Forum of Former Council Secretaries, Chiefs of Staff and Supervisory Councilors on the platform of APC.
Dr. Olusegun Oyebola led delegation of Sultan Bello Hall of Residence – University of Ibadan. The Hall Mayor, Comrade Olulekan Ayobami; Ex Hall Mayor, Adebayo Adewale; the Speaker, Adeoye Obafemi; Deputy Hall Mayor, Comrade Adesoji Ezekiel and the sports minister Oyekanmi were part of the delegation.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Oyo State Chapter also paid their condolence visit.
