Former deputy governor of Osun state and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore on Saturday
yesterday dissociated himself from a statement that Senator Ademola Adeleke is the best choice to clinch the party’s ticket and help defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Senator Iyiola Omisore in a statement personal signed by him said contrary to insinuation, the statement in question never emanated from him but from Bankole Omisore, who is a former Special Assistant (New Media) to ex-senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The former deputy governor stressed that it was unfortunate that some people who are bent of playing politics on anything on sight could be attributing a remarked posted on another person’s official Twitter page to him.

” It is suprising that some elements are always out to be mischievous of any available issue just score cheap political point. How can a posted by Bankole Omisore on his Twitter page be attributed to me. This is another blackmail taken too far. The truth of it is that the statement is not from me and should not be ascribe to me”, he said.

The APC Chieftain stressed, ” my stand on the Osun state governorship election coming up this year this very clear as I have made it known that I am for the re election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and that has been my concern and I am ready to see it to logical conclusion”.

” I am used to this political terrain of blackmail and it will never work, no amount of cheap blackmail, mis representation of facts will distract me from losing focus in joining hands with other progressive minded people and lovers of our dear state, Osun state in ensuring the return of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the second term in office”.
