Former governor of Akwa Ibom State and former Minority Whip, Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged Senate President of 10th National Assembly.
Akpabio, the anointed candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated his main challenger, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.
Yari scored 46 votes while Akpabio scored 63 votess to emerge winner
