The permanent chairman of Oorelope Local Government traditional council of Obas and Chiefs, His Highness Oba Joel Olasorogan IV (the Alepata of Igboho) has charged Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to resuscitate Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) transmission link station at Oje Owode to improve transmission coverage of Oke-Ogun Radio Alaga.
The monarch who gave the hint while featuring on a live programme of Oke-Ogun Radio Alaga tagged Oro Eto Abo, commended Governor Makinde’s giant strides.
The Alepata noted that majority local Government areas in the agrarian region of the state does not receive signal Oke-Ogun FM Radio situated in Alaga – Itesiwaju LGA, thereby urging Oyo State Government to resuscitate Oje Owode BCOS transmission link station in order to ensure wider network coverage of the radio station.
When asked about security situation in Igboho and its environs, the monarch said that there exist a unity of purpose among traditional rulers, which enhances collaboration with constituted security agencies for effective security architecture in the council area.
Oba Olasorogan while assuring investors of adequate security of lives and properties, called on the state government to make optimal use of both natural and human resources that are abound in Oke-Ogun to develop the zone
The Alepata who described education as light for human and society developments, pleaded with the state government to establish tertiary institutions in Oke-ogun.
The monarch also tasked youths in the area to be resilient, responsive and productive for the betterment of the region.
