NBHA 40TH Anniversary: Makinde’s Aide, Ige, Others Bag Life Patrons, Patroness’s Awards

Amid fun and fanfare, eminent personalities including the Oyo State Governor’s Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige were today installed as the Life Patrons and Patronesses of the Nigeria Beautician and Hairdressers Association (NBHA) Oyo State.

The awards and decorations ceremony was part of the 40th anniversary of the association which was founded in the year 1981.

Others that were decorated included Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, Hon. Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu, Alhaja Bosede Adedibu, PDP South West Women Leader, the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Y.K. Abass, Chief Mrs Tina Ogundoyin, High Chief Solomon Ojedayo, Chairman/CEO of Top One Garden, Podo, Ibadan and Alhaja Ronke Oyinade Alubarika.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, the Founder of the association, Chief (Mrs) Olubunmi Adesanya explained that the awardees were chosen as the life Patrons and Patronesses of the association in appreciation of their immense financial and moral contributions towards the development and growth of the association in the State in the last forty years.

Chief Mrs Adesanya specifically commended Hon. Ige for always come to the aid of the association under her ever since he was a council chairman, stressed that Hon. Ige has become a model example for other politicians to emulate if they want to advance in their political career.

“In view of this, the founder, members of the executives and the entire members of this noble association have unanimously agreed to have you as the Life Patroness of this association.” She retorted.

Chief Mrs Adesanya used the occasion to pledge the support of the association for the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, noting that the state has enjoyed relative peace and unprecedented developments in the last two years that Governor Makinde came on board.

In their separate remarks, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, Hon. Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu and Alhaja Modinat Abosede Adedibu urged members of the association to continue to give more support to Engr Seyi Makinde led administration in order to ensure its success and continuity of good governance in the State.

The event was also attended by the executive Chairman of Ibadan South East local government area, Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Alawode, Hon. Seye Gbaroye, Otunba Kolapo Oyeyinka, Mr Jelili Ajani of Royal Jelad Motors and Mr Rasak Olubode.
