The League of Imams and Alfas in Ogbomosoland and the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Friday offered special prayers for former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.
The special prayers, which was held at Opadoyin Akala Lodge in Ogbomoso had in attendance incumbent deputy governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan; Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central), Rt. Hon. Segun Odebunmi Bunvic (Surulere/ Ogo-Oluwa federal constituency), Hon. Akin Alabi (Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency) and the Oyo State Chairman-elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Other key figures included Rtd General (Senator) Brimo Yusuff, Executive Chairman, Oyo State Pacesetter Transportation Services, Hon. Dare Adeleke; Hon. Mojeed Olaoya, Alhaji Audu Marafa, Alhaji Yinka Folarin, Alhaji Akeem Olatunji Akogun, and others.
The Islamic prayers session was coordinated by the Grand Chief Imam, Sheikh Talihat Oluwashina Yusuff Ayilara while that of Christianity was chaired by CAN President Samson Olasupo Adeniyi Ayokunle.
The religious scholars gave mind-blowing tributes on the late Ogbomoso-born politician.
