Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central) and other political heavyweights were at Opadoyin Akala Lodge in Ogbomoso on Thursday to pay condolence visit to the Akalas.
This morning, we were in Ogbomoso to visit the family of former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala.
In his remarks, Makinde stated that Otunba Alao-Akala was probably the most experienced politician we had in Oyo State, having risen through the political ranks from Local Government Chairman to Governor.
“He did his best for Oyo State. I prayed that God would comfort Mama and the rest of the family he left behind and assured them that we would work with the family to give him a befitting funeral” Makinde said.
The Oyo Central lawmaker arrived Ogbomoso on Wednesday evening and he is still in the home country of the late governor as at the time of filing this report.
