Abioye stated that he joined the race for the chairmanship position so as to bring the desirable development to the council just as he had done while serving as State Lawmaker in the past.

Abioye popularly called ‘Elder’ said that as a politician with vast experience in grassroots politics, he was ready to bring his wealth of experience to bear to focus on road network, employment, community development, primary health care development, rural electrification, provision of water among others.

He added that his administration will also operate an open door policy and projects that will serve as a replica of what Governor Seyi Makinde is currently doing in the State to put smiles on the faces of the people in his local government if eventually emerged as the winner during the local government election.

While appreciating the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for allowing the internal democracy and level playing ground for all aspirants vying for the PDP’s tickets, Hon. Abioye, however, solicited the support of the people in his council area to emerge as the winner during the election.
