The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday observed a minute silence in honour of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso 1, who joined his ancestors on January 2 at 93.
The Senate action was sequel to a point of order by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central) during plenary, drawing the attention of his colleagues to the demise of first-class Yoruba King.
The former Senate leader who came under Order 43 of the Senate Rules, hailed the deceased for his exceptional contributions to Nigeria entertainment industry and stability of the country’s traditional institution.
