Re: Mrs Florence Ajimobi Dancing with Adelabu By Morufu Smith
A mischievous WhatsApp message placed below has been going viral on some WhatsApp group platforms, spreading a blatant lie that Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi was dancing with Chief Bayo Adelabu on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of her husband, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi. What’s more appalling is the fact that many people continued to share the mischievous message across WhatsApp group platforms without verifying the veracity of the message.
To put the records straight, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi died on 25th June, 2020. The video of Dr Mrs Ajimobi dancing with Chief Adelabu being wickedly shared was recorded in May 2021 during the celebration of the Supreme Court judgement in favour of the outgoing Oyo ALGON under Honourable Abass Aleshinloye. Other chieftains of the APC, including Senator Teslim Folarin, Mr Joseph Tegbe, Hon Abass Aleshinloye, Mr Odetomi and many others, were present at the event celebrating the judgement. The first anniversary of the death of Senator Abiola Ajimobi will take place on 25th June, 2021, and it’s shocking that none of those sharing the video could correct the wrong message that the event wasn’t the anniversary of the death of Senator Ajimobi.
Let’s assume that the occasion was the anniversary of her husband’s death, must Mrs Ajimobi mourn forever? Why are we being hypocritical? Don’t people dance and merry during 3rd-day, 8th-day or 40th-day funeral ceremonies of their deceased loved ones? Dr Mrs Florence Ajimobi is entitled to be happy again and happy she must! Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi is no longer being mourned; he will continue to be celebrated for his life of meritorious examples.
