Olajide Royal Umbrella, The Coordinator of GSMists, who are claiming to be diehards of Governor Seyi Makinde has been described as someone who had no knowledge nor participated on how People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Makinde won 2019 governorship election in the pacesetter state.
A source among the GSMists who spoke under the condition of anonymity disclosed that, the group coordinator, Royal Umbrella was said to have worked for All Progressives Congress, APC in the last general election but suddenly became the beneficiary, immediately after Makinde won the election.
An anonymous source maintained that Olajide Royal Umbrella confessed that he didn’t work for the coalition arrangement that necessitated the emergence of Governor seyi Makinde, that he was on the side of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
He disclosed that Royal Umbrella’s action was acknowledged and became obvious in the way and manner he was verbally attacking the Governor, immediately he assumed the office.
In his furtherance, the source said that, Royal Umbrella was said to have been advised by the Chairman, Governing Advisory Council(GAC), Senator Hosea Ayoola Alleluyah and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barrister Bayo Lawal, who opined that Royal Umbrella can’t get anything in this government, provided he continued with his style of derogatory statements, character assassinated expressions and consistent verbal attacks against the person of the Governor.
He added that Royal Umbrella made U-Turn and began to praise the Governor as a friend of his, whom both attended same school.
The source had it that the purpose of coming up with GSMists’ formation, while Seye Famojuro remains the the Director General, was a calculated attempt to demand unnecessarily from Governor and also continue with exploitation of appointees and elected public office holders under the banner of PDP.
He maintained that, he was saying this without equivocation that, Royal Umbrella did not because of love nor friendship he has for Makinde, but preplanned conspiracy and deceit to exploit the Governor and others in the fold of conservative party.
The source, however said that Royal Umbrella and others had earlier fought Hon. Akeem Olatunji, PDP, Oyo State Publicity Secretary, over his alleged involvement in exploitation of appointees and elected public office holders in PDP.
He reiterated that the same allegation levelled against Akeem Olatunji, is now the way and strategy upon which Royal Umbrella is feeding himself at the expense of those who are struggling to get the publication of magazine and other engagements done.
The source called on Governor Seyi Makinde and others to be cautious in dealing with Royal Umbrella, that he has ulterior motive in the formation of GSMists Group and consistent production of magazines.
He enjoined Makinde as he prepares for 2023 reelection to be cautious in dealing with Royal Umbrella, maintaining that he has negative thoughts which are contrary to what is writing and preaching for Makinde’s reelection.
In another vein, the source bore his mind on alleged conspiracy and double standards of Salam Azeez, Personal Assistant to Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland Alhaji Dauda Akinola, D-Damak.
He stressed that Salam Azeez is a mole in PDP, pretending to be loyalist and diehard of the incumbent Governor.
The source narrated that Salam Azeez is an APC apologist who temporarily switched over to PDP, after the progressive party had lost the election.
He maintained that Salam Azeez pretends to be a member of PDP but is obviously responsible for leakages of sensitive pieces of information to members of APC in order to weaken PDP.
The source added that, same Salam Azeez had got contract of #50M from this government, while he only spent #10M to execute the project.
He said both Salam Azeez and Olajide Royal Umbrella are moles in PDP, who are strategically positioned to carry out evil plans against the fortunes of PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde.
He however called on Governor Makinde to be wary of leopard who can’t change its skin, no matter what.
