Folarin Congratulates Obisesan, Adegboyega, Akanbi, Ajimobi, Others On Chieftaincy Elevations

The Ayingun Olubadan and senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Oloye Teslim Folarin has congratulated the ten newly promoted Olubadan chiefs by Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji (Aje Ogunguniso 1).

Oloye Folarin, in a congratulatory message released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Com. YSO Olaniyi, applauded the elevations of the Ibadan chiefs.

He urged the elevated chiefs not to relent in supporting developmental projects in Ibadanland as well as ensuring peace and tranquility in their domains.

Folarin prayed that God will continue to provide the wisdom required and wherewithal to enable the elevated chiefs to succeed in their new chieftaincy positions.

The three-term senator also charged the chiefs to remain good ambassadors of Ibadan. He preached purposeful cooperation and collaboration with the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Chief Lowo Obisesan, a former Commissioner for Environment, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke and younger brother of late former governor of Oyo State, Chief Wasiu Ajimobi were among the tnewly promoted Olubadan Chiefs.

The News Carrier NG reports that Obisesan, Akanbi, Adegboyega and seven others were promoted during a traditional event held at the Popoyemoja palace of the monarch on Friday.

Chief Tirimisiyu Fijabi Arowolo Obisesan formerly Aare Ago is now Ayingun Balogun of Ibadanland; Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke from Ajia to Bada Balogun of Ibadanland; Alhaji Nureni  Adebayo Akanbi from Aare Onibon to Gbonka Balogun of Ibadanland, while Chief Wasiu Delodun Adegboyega Ajimobi from Lagunna to Aare Ago Balogun of Ibadanland.

Among those elevated were Chief Mikail Gboyega Olawoyin Orogunmodi from Oota to Lagunna Balogun of Ibadanland; Chief Babajide Taofeek Ayoade from Aregbe Omo to Oota Balogun of Ibadanland; Chief Lateef Adetokunbo Akintola from Gbonka to Aregbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland; Chief Kayode Afolabi Kadelu from Bada to Aare Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland; Chief Monsuru Abiola Olatunji Arulogun from Jagun to  Ajia Balogun of Ibadanland, and Chief Taiwo Ige Kamorudeen Akande from Mogaji Odunlami Family Olorisaoko to Jagun Balogun of Ibadanland.
