Imbibe Godly Values Of Righteousness, Peace, Justice,  Adegoke Admonishes Nigerians On Easter

As Christians across the world celebrate the Easter season, marking the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Chairman of Solutions 93.9FM, Olooye Adegboyega Adegoke has felicitated with Christians in Oyo state and Nigerians, charging them to imbibe godly values of righteousness, peace and justice.

Adegoke, who is the Aare-Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland, while affirming that the resurrection of the Lord Jesus is fundamental to all Christians, he also urged residents of the state, Nigerians to work in love, unity and faith as a means of overcoming current challenges and building a prosperous nation.

Adegoke, Oyo South Senatorial hopeful in his Easter message, implored the people of Oyo state and the country as whole not to allow the lessons of Easter brought by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to elude them.

Adegoke in a statement, called on Christians and all Nigerians to prioritise love, peace and unity as a means of tackling the current security and economic challenges bedeviling the country.

According to him, “the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the cornerstone of the Christian faith. At Easter, Christians celebrate hope, eternal life, salvation, and redemption.

“I want to remind us of the importance and significance of Easter in the Christian Calendar, which also is a period that Christ, the Son of God, demonstrated the greatest act of compassion, humility and sacrifice for mankind to have salvation.

“On this year’s Easter, I call on all Christians and Nigerians to imbibe and sustain Godly values of righteousness, peace and justice which are the true nature of Christ.

“As we celebrate, I urge all Christians and all Nigerians to work in love, peace and unity and exercise faith and hope, so we can overcome our current challenges and build a prosperous nation.

“I urge Christians, people of Oyo State and Nigerians to constantly remind themselves of the virtues of peace and forgiveness which Christ amply demonstrated throughout his trial and crucifixion and to allow these virtues to reflect in their conduct and relationship with others and humanity generally”.
