A Southwest PDP Group loyal to former Governor Ayo Fayose has reacted to the unlawful involvement of thugs and hoodlums mobilize to the zonal election from Oyo state.
Speaking through her spokesperson, Mr. Segun Adesina noted that “It was a drama today as thousands of thugs were deployed to the PDP zonal congress venue in Osogbo. We reliably gathered at about 3pm today that vehicles numbering up to 200 left Ibadan for Osogbo where the party would be holding their zonal congress. The busses were filled with men of the PMS working under Gov Seyi Makinde’s ally, Mukaila Auxiliary. They were all armed and came to Osogbo on a mission to disrupt the peaceful congress. All these men of Auxiliary had earlier threatened to beat up anyone who own a different view to that of Gov Seyi Makinde. You would recall that he’s rooting for Amb. Taofeeq Arapaja while former Gov Fayose is supporting Dr. Eddy Olafeso, the immediate past National Vice Chairmen for the zone.
Mr. Mukaila Auxiliary is a popular notorious man in Ibadan who had records of killing and destroying. He had been jailed for this character he’s known. Any reasonable man would wonder why Gov Seyi Makinde makes such his close ally if not to kill and destroy.
We call on our NWC to please call Governor Seyi Makinde to order before it’s too late. All the Auxiliary men in the venue should disappear and vacate the vicinity. This is to ensure that lives of delegates are secured. Mr. Makinde should bear in mind that there is going to be life after the zonal election.
