Makinde’s Aide, Ige Lauds US-Based Philanthropist, Oludamilola For Complimenting Govt’s Effort on Security

The Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has commended an indigene of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Oludamilola Ala for donating two operational vehicles to the Nigeria Police, Felele division and the Amotekun corps towards strengthening the security apparatus in the said council area.

Ige gave the commendation while reacting to the gesture by the donor, Oludamilola Ala who is currently based in the United States of America, describing him as a philanthropist who has the interest of the people in his local government and indeed Oyo State at heart.

Ige said that he was happy that individuals like the donor, Ala, are coming to the realisation that the issue of security should not be left in the hands of the government alone, stressing that his gesture is a challenge to others to strife as much as possible to support the government  in anyway that can bring about meaningful development and peace in the State.

He further said that the gesture will go a long way in encouraging the security agencies to live up to their responsibility by waging war against insecurity and any form of criminal activities not only in the Ibadan South East local government but the entire State as a whole.

Hon. Ige stressed further that he was particularly elated that Felele police station he constructed when he was the Chairman of Ibadan South East local government was the beneficiary of the patrol vehicle donated by Hon. Oluwadamilola Ala.

It would be recalled that the Ibadan South East local government through its Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode handed over the said two operational vehicles to the Divisional police, Felele division and Amotekun corps at a brief ceremony held at Mapo hall on Thursday 16th December, 2021..

In attendance at the  ceremony were the Director-General, Omi Tuntun Movement, Otunba Seye Famojuro who represented the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, the newly sworn in Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja who was equally represented by Hon. Akeem Ige, Mr Dare Adeleke, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji, Hon. Yinka Omikunle, PDP Chairman in the council, Engr Sulaiman Adeshina and leader, Pa Tiamiyu Abidikugu among others.
