A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former honourable commissioner for Lands, Housing and Surveying under the immediate past administration in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu has applauded the peaceful conduct of July 31st party’s ward congresses in the state.
Hon. Omodewu while addressing journalists in Ward 9 Otu in Itesiwaju LGA shortly after the exercise held at , extolled APC members for their high level of compliance towards ensuring smooth, free, fair, credible and acceptable congress across the council area.
He noted that the reports gathered so far across the 351 wards of Oyo State had reflected the peaceful conduct of the members of the party as demonstrated to elect new party’s officers.
“I am highly impressed with the large turnout that greeted this exercise. Members of the party are here in their large numbers, just as the Congress has been done in line with the directive of the National Secretariat of our party”
“With the successful conduct of the ward congresses in Oyo State, the APC has disappointed members of the PDP who have been fueling division in the party and thought that the zonal congress would end in chaos” Omodewu said.
