As part of the electioneering promise of the Folaranmi Awosika led Oyo State LAUTECH Alumni at ensuring that branches are established under the State chapter in order to facilitate better participation of Alumni members outside Ibadan jurisdiction in the affairs of the Association, the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH) Igboora branch was inaugurated on Wednesday 13th October, 2021 with the election of branch officers.
The election which was conducted under the supervision and monitoring of the Oyo state chapter was very successful as all the members conducted themselves peacefully.
The Oyo state executive was ably represented by the Vice chairman Com. Muili Adeli(MAO), State General Secretary Dr. Isaac Oyewo and the Assistant General Secretary Mr. Ridwan Azeez while the Global executive was represented by the Internal Auditor Hon. Eyitayo Mayowa.
The newly elected branch officers are Alabi Adedamola Sunday, Branch chaiman, Akanji Kayode, vice chairman, Ayanlola Jeremiah secretary, Adesanya Abiola, Financial secretary, Ajuwon Opeyemi Ibrahim, Treasurer, Babawale Johnson Oluyemi, PRO, Bankole Adebukola, Welfare Officer, Bidmus Fuad Adetunji, AGS and Olabimisi Akinwale, Internal Auditor.
The elected branch executives were consequently sworn in by the State Secretary Dr Oyewo Isaac.
With this development, it now brings to two branches already inaugurated under the Folaranmi Awosika led Oyo State chapter of the LAUTECH ALUMNI.The branches are Ogbomoso branch and Igboora branch.
According to Dr. Oyewo, the process of the inauguration of Oyo and Lanlate/Eruwa branches are ongoing with the creation of WhatsApp group for the members and he assured that the inauguration will come up soon as the state chapter is not relenting in her effort at bringing every Alumnus in the state together.
Speaking on behalf of the chairman, the state vice chairman Com. Muili Adeli congratulated the newly elected Igboora branch executives and wish them a crisis free tenure while also assuring them that the Oyo state chapter is solidly behind them and will give them all the necessary support required to succeed as a branch.
While delivering the goodwill message of the Global president, Hon. Onilede Solomon (Limo), the Global Internal Auditor, Hon. Eyitayo Mayowa commended the members for their peaceful conduct and called on them to support their executive towards having a successful tenure.
The newly elected branch Chairman, Alabi Adedamola while speaking on behalf of the other branch executives commended the leadership of the Oyo state chapter for their ingenuity and uncommon wisdom at ensuring that branches are inaugurated under the chapter, this he believed will go a long way at encouraging the participation of LAUTECH graduates in Oyo state but residing outside Ibadan in the activities of the alumni in the state. He also thanked the other members for their support and promise to lead them with the fear of God.
