The PDP like-minds, a group of members of Oyo State People’s Democratic Party has faulted a move by a chief Bode George from Lagos state to reconcile the aggrieved members of the party in Oyo state.

The group explained that, Chief Bode George, who is the leader of Governor Seyi Makinde’s faction of PDP in southwest has no charisma to call aggrieved leaders of the party in Oyo state for a reconciliation meeting.

In a released statement made available to pressmen in Ibadan on Friday morning , the group queried the existence of Chief Bode George since a year ago when the crisis stated within Oyo PDP.

Oyo PDP like-minds explained further that, Chief Bode George proposed reconciliation meeting slated for Ibadan today 26th, March is not a genuine meeting but a ploy to sealed the mouth of party leaders.

The Statement reads:

Our group, Oyo like-minds was surprised about the sudden reconciliation meeting called by Chief Bode George when he as a person has shown himself as a factional leader of our party in Lagos state and southwest.

Chief Bode judge who called this said meeting has not hide is bias attitude and support for Governor Seyi Makinde, it is our believe that, he has no genuine intention to call oyo aggrieved party leaders.

It is surprising, that Chief Bode George who has neglected aggrieved leaders of the party at the zonal, in Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun , Lagos and Oyo state since last year when the crisis started has now seen himself as a leader, with a responsibility to reconcile Oyo state PDP aggrieved members.

If truly, Chief Bode George believes in reconciliation of aggrieved party members, we want him to go and reconcile with his Lagos state party chairman, Doherty and local government chairmen before going to another state to reconcile party members.

It is imperative to urge Chief Bode to dismiss his ulterior motive and not to come to Oyo state for his planned meeting, so as not to truncate the so far effort of Senator Bukola Saraki’s reconciliation committee.
