A legal luminary and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Niyi Akintola SAN has debunked statement credited to him that Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central) is a critical and dangerous criminal.
The purported statement, according to the impeccable findings by The News Carrier NG was fabricated by the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and being circulated by online media members of the incumbent government in Oyo State.
The News Carrier NG traced the fabricated statement credited to Chief Akintola to the following Facebook accounts Omak News (https://m.facebook.com/story.
Chief Niyi Akintola in a reaction exclusively made available to the News Carrier NG described the people circulating the fabricated statement as fool and purveyor of lies and blackmail.
The APC chieftain queried where he made such a statement, saying Senator Folarin is his brother, brother, confidant and ally in the fight to wrestle power from PDP in 2011 when they were in the trenches.
Akintola said, “Kola was a die in the wool “demo” but he is far better, valuable and much more reliable than the opportunists who delight in reaping where they do not sow, who take advantage of the penurious party members to galvanise themselves into leadership positions”.
“Kola Teslim Folarin has been in the system for long and we know what he stands for and I am ever willing and ready to work with such a known conservative than an hypocritical pseudo progressive who stands for nothing but will fall for anything. Ignore the lies and propaganda please. It is sickening and repugnant to good conscience and reasoning” he said.
When contacted to react to the fabricated statement, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Oyo Central lawmaker, Comrade YSO Olaniyi said that the TKF Media Centre does not react to fake news from myopic elements, especially from opposition camps.

“What do you expect me to say? Our leader, Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN has given most appropriate response to the purveyors of fake news from the ruling PDP. The credited statement is disappointing, malicious, callous, immature and mischievous media stunt from the jittery ruling PDP. They are jittery of my principal’s state-wide acceptability ahead of the 2023 governorship elections”.
“Chief Niyi Akintola has officially debunked the fake and libellous statement. He is to decide to whether to take legal action against those PDP elements or not”.
