The 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State and lawmaker representing Oyo Central senatorial district, Senator Teslim Folarin has sent his goodwill message to Muslim Ummah in Oyo State as they join other Muslims worldwide to celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Folarin who spoke on Sunday through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, YSO Olaniyi, urged Muslims to imbibe the injunctions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which teach humility, gratitude and charity toward one another.
According to the three-term senator, “this year’s celebration comes just a couple of months before the 2023 general elections, Muslims Ummah and all the people of Oyo State should seize the opportunity to offer special prayers for peace and progress of Oyo State and Nigeria at large”.
“The virtues of service and exemplary leadership, as demonstrated by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW), should guide leaders to give their all in the overall interest of Nigerians”
“While wishing all Muslims a happy Maolud Nabiyy celebration, Folarin assured of a better future for Oyo State under his administration” the statement concluded.
