Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo State is reclaiming its Dirtiest City Status under Governor Seyi Makinde-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP), according to survey conducted by Coalition for Greater Oyo State (CFGOS).

Pictures released by the socio-economic pressure group showed cows feasting on heaps of refuse on Ibadan roads.

According to the CFGOS Convener, Mr. Festus Adebimpe, Alao-Akala and Ajimobi administrations have redeemed the image of Ibadan as the dirtiest City in Nigeria before the advent of Governor Makinde administration.

“The Ibadan City is back to the “inglorious” era under the ruling party. Heaps of refuse on all roads of the State Capital do not only constitute environmental hazards to the people but also keeping investors away from the state”

“Ibadan is arguably the second most developed city in south western Nigeria after Lagos but unfortunately, the state of hygiene is far from impressive under the present administration”

“Recently, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) ranked second in the open defecation index. This is too bad for our state”.

Mr. Festus described Makinde administration as irresponsible and irresponsive.
