Senator Teslim Folarin of Oyo Central Senatorial District has hailed players and management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club, (3SC) Football Club of Ibadan, following their promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Folarin, in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity – Com. YSO Olaniyi, said the Oluyole Warriors deserved to be part of the nation`s elite league.
The 3SC defeated Ekiti United FC 6-0 in the final game of the Super 8, to emerge winner of the Group B Conference.
Folarin charged the Oluyole Warriors to strive harder and double their efforts towards winning the NPFL.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Local Content noted that just like football unites the world, the 3SC unites the people of Oyo State.
The 3SC are playing Niger Tornadoes FC of Niger, which topped Group A of the Super Eight today (Sunday) to determine the overall winner of the 2020/21 Nigeria National League.
