In his efforts to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State ahead of the 2023 general elections, Senator Teslim Folarin on Monday met with Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe.

Recently, the former executive chairman of Akinyele local government area of Oyo State resigned from Governor Seyi Makinde’s government as Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. Hon. Aderibigbe who is Asiwaju of Ijaiye also served as Special Adviser on Transports to late former governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Though details of the meeting were not disclosed, the Oyo Central senator led some APC chieftains to the house of the political gladiator for a closed-door meeting, which lasted for more than 1 hour.

The News Carrier NG understands that Hon. Aderibigbe’s resignation from the ruling government and possible defection to the progressive party will be a great setback for Engr. Makinde’s second term ambition especially in Akinyele LGA where the politician is said to command large army of  followers.
Aderibigbe was the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2019 national assembly election in Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency.
