“Igangan Massacre Was Most Unfortunate” – Federal Commissioner Folawiyo Condoles Ibarapa People

The Oyo State representative Public Complaints Commission, Honourable Commissioner Bello Folawiyo has strongly condemned June 6 massacre in Igangan town of Ibarapa North local government area of Oyo State, describing the incident as most unfortunate.

Asiwaju Folawiyo Bello while commiserating with the Government and people of Oyo State, unequivocally condemned the attack on humanity.

Folarin Condemns Igangan Massacre, Urges IGP to Rescue Oyo State
The statement reads in full:

THE UNFORTUNATE KILLINGS AT IGANGAN ON 6TH OF JUNE, 2021

Oyo State and indeed the Igangan people of Ibarapa Area was thrown into another moment of chaos by the unfortunate massacre of innocent citizens by yet to be identified gunmen. The increasing threat to the general safety of lives and properties becomes an issue of concern, especially to all well-meaning leaders of opinion. The wanton destruction of life and properties including the palace of the Asigangan of Igangan is most unfortunate.

The Honourable Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Asiwaju Folawiyo Bello unequivocally condemns this attack on humanity while commiserating with the Government and people of Oyo State.

The Honourable Commissioner appeals for calm and enjoins all the relevant security agencies to ensure a well coordinated investigation in ensuring a sustainable resolution.
