Insecurity in Oyo: Fulani Kidnappers Invade Ibadan Village, Kill Youth Leader, Injure Others

A villlage youth leader has been reportedly killed while two others sustained injuries from gunshots by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Ibadan on Saturday.

The News Carrier NG reports that Olori Odo was shot by suspected herdsmen who invaded Akinkunmi village, in Akinyele local government area.

Eyewitnesses accounts disclosed that the Fulani herdsmen invaded Akinkunmi village on Saturday in an attempt to kidnap. “Olori Odo and other youths went in search of the kidnappers, but the kidnappers fired shots at three of them, including Olori Odo. One f the two victims escaped while the Olori Odo fell to the bullets of the suspected kidnappers” one source said.

The News Carrier NG reports that one of the suspected Fulani herdsmen was arrested and in the custody of the Nigerian Police, Moniya Police station.
