Omodewu Felicitates Muslims at Eid-ul-Kabir, Calls for Unity, Tolerance Among Nigerians

Former Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Surveying during the Governor Ajimobi-led administration in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu has congratulated all Muslim across the 33 local government areas of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

“I felicitate our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo State for being alive to witness this year’s Eid-ul-Kabir, despite the menace of insecurity challenges in Nigeria occasioned by the criminal activities of bandits, kidnappers, terrorists, secession agenda and other undesirable elements”

“The best way to demonstrate our gratitude to Allah is to be charitable to the needy in our immediate environment and show love and kindness to all, as taught us by Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW)”.


The US-trained chattered accountant enjoined Muslims to imbibe the spirit of unity, tolerance for a peaceful coexistence.

Omodewu noted that the diverse nature of the Nigerian people is the main source of her strength and unity.

Omodewu who also served as honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, urged all Islamic leaders to use the occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir to spread the message of peace and unity especially at this critical time in Nigeria’s history where some ethnic nationalities are clamouring for disintegration of Nigeria.
