As Muslim faithful in Oyo Central Senatorial district join their counterparts in Oyo State, Nigeria and all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adhan, Senator Teslim Folarin has urged them to continuously follow the shining examples of love, dedication and sacrifice, which Holy Prophet Ibraheem exemplified.

Senator Folarin, in a goodwill message released by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity – Com. YSO Olaniyi, extended his Barka De Salah greetings to all the traditional rulers and the Islamic leaders in Oyo State.

“I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Oyo Central and by extension Oyo State on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adhan celebration. I call on Muslims to use the Holy occasion to continue to live up to the tenets of their faith through acts of charity, peaceful co-existence with their neighbours and obedience to the injunctions of the Holy Quran”.

“I also use this opportunity to remind both Muslims and Non-Muslims to observe all precautions against the spread of coronavirus as advised by the governments and health experts”

The three-term Senator noted that this year’s holy month is coming at a time Nigeria is still battling with challenges of insecurity, characterised by insurgency, banditry, kidnappings, and economic hardships, hence the need for all to intensify prayers to seek Allah’s intervention.

Folarin while expressing his worries over the high waves of insecurity across the 33 LGAs of the state, urged Governor Makinde to be up and doing in his duties by adopting better measures in protecting lives and properties of the people of Oyo State.
