The innovative efforts of the Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State BCOS, Prince Dotun Oyelade to transform the corporation into a world class media outfit has been commended by the Saki Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (SAKCCIMA).
The BCOS chairman was among the distinguished personalities honoured by SAKCCIMA in recognition of the digitization process being carried out by the Ogbomoso-born veteran broadcaster.
The Award presentation was part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of SAKCCIMA, which was held in Saki under the auspices of OYCCIMA president, Chief Isaac Aderibigbe Koleosho.
While speaking, the SAKCCIMA President- Alhaji Supo Busari said the institution is one of the four functional Chambers of industry in the state. He eiterated that the body runs an inclusive organs that capture the interest of its members on sustainable economic growth and development of Oyo State irrespective of colour, religion political or tribal affiliations.
He further explained that the national body of SAKCCIMA is NACCIMA, which is a member of G8 Nations comprising Egypt Turkey among others. According to him, the Organization serves as window of opportunity on trade and commerce for her members across the world.
Alhaji Busari also used the occasion to explain the enoumous benefits that are abound in the association to include granting of loans and recommendations for international trade.
Among the recipients of SAKCCIMA Award of Recognition were the Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) – Prof. Adeolu Akande; Oyo State Commissioner for Trade and Industry – Hon Adebisi Adeniyi; Vice president Sakccima – Alhaji Muhammed Gasali Koomi MNI, Emeritus Professor Chief Layi Egunjobi; Alhaji Fatai Olayiwola Ekuntakoro, Chief Lakunle Gbadamosi; Chief Fakayode Timothy, Alhaja Adeleke Adenike; Alhaji R A Akande and Engr. Isiak Folorunso.
All the awardees in their seperate remarks thanked SAKCCIMA for counting them worthy to be honoured. They promised to justify the confidence repose in them by contributing to economic development of the state.
At the programme, Executive Chairman Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State BCOS – Prince Dotun Oyelade represented by the Director of Finance Mr Sunday Okeleye while Oke Ogun Radio was represented by Head of Engineering Department – Alhaji Abdul Azeez Adekola.
