The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has re-appointed Chief Wale Ohu as the Chairman Ogun State Local Government Congress Committee.
This development is against the backdrop of what the national leadership of the party termed an excellent performance of Chief Ohu-led Ogun State APC Ward Congress Committee, which was termed unprecedented in the history of party elections in the state.
The 7-man committee which is headed by the Ibadan based politician has other members drawn from various parts of the country. They include Hon. Muhktar Ishaq from Kano state who is the secretary, Hon. Ahmed Okara from Kogi State, Hon. Wale Adelana from Lagos State, Alhaji. Tijani Aliyu from Nasarawa state, Barr. Teju Oguntoye from Kwara State and Engr. Nwabueze Oguchienti from Imo state.
While briefing the 3-man Adhoc local government congress committee members drawn from the 20 local government areas of the state on the mode of conducting the Local Government congress slated for Saturday 4th of September 202q, Chief Ohu stated that the constitution of the party stipulates that election must be held where consensus agreement is not reached and that such elections must be held under the strict supervision of the appropriate approved agencies.
While sounding a note of warning to each and every member of the party in the state on the firm decision of the National Leadership of the party not to condone any form of divisive tendencies from any quarters, he assured the members that the party is one in Ogun state and with a firm assurance that every registered member of the party will be carried along in the processes leading to the conduct of the local government congress election.
